NCM Biography
Nicole C. Mullen is an award‑winning artist known for her unmistakable voice, transparent storytelling, and unwavering commitment to authenticity. Throughout her celebrated career, she has earned two Grammy® nominations and nine Dove Awards, including two Female Vocalist of the Year honors, Song of the Year for “Redeemer” and “On My Knees,” Urban Album of the Year for Everyday People, Contemporary Song of the Year for “Call on Jesus,” and became the first African American female to win Songwriter of the Year for Redeemer.
Nicole’s ministry is shaped by her own journey through broken relationships, abuse, betrayal, and heartache. Having walked through her own “night seasons,” she speaks and writes with compassion, strength, and a deep understanding of God’s healing power. She is the mother of three grown children, a daughter‑in‑love, and a proud grandmother.
Her desire is clear: “I want people to be healed, released, empowered, and encouraged. I want them to see the power of Redemption and the relevancy of the Scriptures in our everyday living.”
A significant chapter of her ministry includes her collaboration with Kathie Lee Gifford on “The God Who Sees.” Gifford championed the project, investing heavily to produce a 60‑piece orchestral score and a twelve‑minute film shot in Israel. Nicole’s narration—drawn straight from her heart and her love for Scripture—became the backbone of the oratorio, which highlights God’s compassion toward broken biblical figures whose stories mirror our own. The film is available at GodWhoSees.com.
Nicole continues to travel internationally as a sought‑after speaker and singer, ministering across the U.S., Europe, the Caribbean, and Africa. Despite her many accomplishments, audiences everywhere still request her timeless anthem “Redeemer,” released in 2000 and still impacting lives with testimonies of healing and miracles.
She began her career as a background vocalist for Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, CeCe Winans, and The Newsboys, and has shared stages with Dr. Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, and Women of Faith. Today, she appears before governors, heads of state, business leaders, prisoners, churches, women’s conferences, and nonprofits. Her media appearances include The Today Show, Daystar’s Table Talk, Life Today, TBN’s Better Together, and more. She is also featured in the 2025 film The American Miracle based on Michael Medved’s bestselling book.
Nicole C. Mullen remains a powerful voice of hope, redemption, and biblical truth—whether she is singing, speaking, writing, or creating stories that point people to the God who sees.
